stirleing and henryTo enable our service to provide high quality early education and care for children we need to ensure we are financially viable at all times.  We have a commitment to ensuring our fees are as affordable as possible and that all families have access to any subsidies that are available to reduce these fees.  Our service will advocate with governments for all children’s right to access early education and care regardless of their family’s financial situation.

In 2023 SOS Preschool  families can access fee relief through the Start Strong Affordable Preschool program.  Families can only access fee relief from one participating community preschool or long day care service at any given time so will need to nominate which service receives fee relief.

Which fee will you pay?

Government legislation endeavours to give all children 600 hours of preschool education for their year prior to school through Start Strong.  This equates to 2 days a week. Due to these funding arrangements, if your child is attending for a third day this will be at an increased cost to the  prior days.  Fees are determined by the SOS Preschool Parent Management Committee.

The NSW Department of Education requires parents to sign the ‘Consent to use and disclosure of personal information’ form at the time of enrolment (see SOS Preschool’s Enrolment and Orientation Policy). Your eligibility for Start Strong Funding is conditional upon signing this form.

The fee relief fee is dependent on which early childhood service is nominated by the parent.
